Chris and Eva from Oz Wroe on Vimeo.

Shooting this wedding was a very bitter sweet event for Ali and me.  Chris and Eva started out as neighbors and became very close friends in the past two years.  The wedding not only marked their joining but also their last few days in Southern California before they make their home in Oregon.  I will miss taking Chris out to try and catch some waves and all of the trips to Mario's and Sushi in Huntington Beach.  They are such a perfect couple for each other and their wedding was truly special.  All of their family and friends made Ali and I feel like we were part of the family and we made truly great friendships in our time in Cambria.  Thanks Chris and Eva, it was an honor to shoot your wedding.

Maggie and Tom from Oz Wroe on Vimeo.

It was a day full of perfect.  Perfect weather, perfect venue and most importantly the joining of a perfect couple.  Maggie and Tom are an absolutely awesome couple together.  Their wedding was full of character and charm in one of the most beautiful venues I've ever shot in.  Check out the slideshow below, please be patient for it to load, it's worth it.  I want to thank my wife Ali, and my friends Jon Chan www.jonchanphotography.com, and Mike Pesh, www.peshphoto.com for shooting with me, they were awesome to work with.  Also thanks to Kyle Serra for shooting some video. Update: The band at this wedding absolutely rocked. Joshua Payne orchestra, http://www.joshuapayneorchestra.com.

While I've shot Megan several times this was my first time pairing her up with one of my best friends and her husband Collin.  They were stunning together and the venue was magical.  Christine Bentley, www.christinebentley.com, and I rocked out the shoot and I threw a little fusion video clip together with the help of my awesome wife/assistant/boss Ali.  Enjoy the video.

So I've been told that I say that every couple I shoot is the coolest couple ever, well this is no exception, definitely qualifies as the coolest couple ever!  Mia and JT rocked it with me for over 2 hours of hiking, slipping and falling, getting wet and putting up with me trying to take a picture from every angle possible.  Their pics should be ready in the next day or two but in the mean time enjoy this little bit of fusion I put together for them.

I have so much to be thankful for.  I have such an amazing life in such an amazing spot with such an amazing family.  I had such an awesome day today.  So I'm home and thought about all I had done: surfed at the crack of dawn with my surf brother, met up with some awesome friends for lunch, had a great cross-fit workout with people that I love training with.  I absolutely love my friends and my family.  People seem to always bring out the best in me.  I fell blessed all the time but especially today.

So now I'm home and I'm tired, I don't really want to work on anything.  Then I think about my foundation and where I come from.  One person that taught me about enjoying work, relishing it, being passionate about what I do is my Grandpa.  He loves working and when he was staying with Ali and I, we could not stop him from working.  My surf van which used to be a clutter of absolute mess is now a super organized surfboard storage display system (SOSSDS for short).

I was looking through some of the pictures I took of him while he was working and I could see the determination in his eyes.  I thought I'd post the pics since I'm sure everyone will see the same determination I do.  He is so awesome, crazy at times, but awesome.

Thanks Grandpa, because of you now I will get back to work.
