Metal Drawer Organizer – Many different types of cabinets can be builds of metal, such as file cabinets and tool boxes. The metal construction makes the cabinet more durable and able to hold heavy objects. Often, metal cabinets are designed to be locked to prevent theft and ensure privacy, and some even offer protection against fire. The drawers often end up in a lane and the use of ball bearings to reduce friction. If you want to clean or repair your cabinet, you may have to remove some or all of the drawers.
Close all drawers in the cabinet. Often, metal cabinets contain a locking mechanism that only allows one drawer to open at a time, as opening several metal drawer dividers at once could cause the unit to move. Remove items from the drawer or metal drawer organizer that you would like to remove from the cabinet. Pull the first drawer completely out until it is fully open. Look on the bottom of the outside of the drawer, where the ball bearings meet the track for a plastic tab or screw.
Many cabinet drawers contain a plastic cap that can be pull up or push down to release the drawer. Other cabinets are based on a metallic or plastic plug structure. Secured by screws to prevent the metal organizer from leaving the track. Remove the screws from both sides of the box if the cabinet uses screwed plugs, then pull the cabinet drawer.
