You can use a regular baby dresser changing table or a padded diaper cover that is attached to the top of a dresser. Find a diaper changing table that is flat. Make sure you have a handrail on all four sides, a padded cover and a safety strap. We do not recommend tables to change diapers with rounded edges. If the table has wheels, make sure you have brakes that can be secured. Make sure that the table or dresser does not wobble. Try giving it a shake.
If you use a dresser whose top is also used as a diaper changing table, buy a padded cover with a safety strap. Use the safety strap every time you changed your baby’s diaper. Never leave your baby alone at the table to change diapers, even with the safety strap on.
Keep diapers, wet wipes and basket for dirty diapers close at hand. Secure the chest of drawers to the wall so that it does not tilt. To do so, you can use a restriction designed for this purpose. Stop using a diaper changing table when your baby is 2 years old or weighs approximately 30 pounds. Around this time, it will be difficult to keep your baby still.
